Story Frequently Asked Questions
How often are staking rewards distributed?
Staking rewards are accrued with every block, but are only distributed once the total amount of rewards reaches the 8 IP threshold, upon which they will automatically go to a reward distribution queue, which only processes a fixed amount of reward distribution requests per block. The reward distribution per block is 32.
What is the unstaking period?
The default unstaking period is 14 days. However, delegators can opt-in locking their tokens for an extra amount of time to receive an additional rewards multiplier. Please refer to the official documentation for more details.
Is there a slashing risk?
Yes, there is a slashing risk of 0.02% for long periods of downtime and 5% for a double-sign. P2P.org runs institutional-grade, robust and secure infrastructure to mitigate these risks.
Is there a minimum staking amount for Story?
Yes, the minimium staking amount is 1024 IP.
Do staking rewards compound?
